Neutral Christmas Bedroom
My word for this year was βsimplifyβ, so here is a very simple way to decorate your bedroom for the holidays. Although I found the perfect woven bed for our space in the spring, itβs finally making its debut!
There are lots of woven bed options but most of them are quite pricey. I found ours on sale here.
I used a really natural looking garland from Target to drape over our headboard and then added a couple of small table top evergreens to the nightstands.
And whatβs cozier than candelight and a mistletoe scented candle? Tip: Most of my favorite candles can be found at HomeGoods. I especially love the DW Home brand because it seems to burn evenly and the scent really lasts βtil the very end of the wick.
This mini tree was an IKEA score. They always have great accent faux greenery, so if youβre lucky enough to have an IKEA in driving distance, give them a shot this year.
The lumbar pillow, pillow covers, bedding and art are all from Amazon and Walmart!
The mirror is from IKEA, but Iβve linked some similar options at the end of the post.
The nightstands were on sale when I purchased them and I also swapped out the hardware for some gold knobs to go with the gold lighting.
You may not even notice this without me drawing attention to it, but I chose to purposely forego a rug in our bedroom for two main reasons: dogs and dust. We have a dog of our own, but we also foster shelter dogs, so thereβs really no guarantee that they wonβt have an accident on our floor at night. No rug, no worry. After vacuuming every single day underneath our bed and seeing what really lurks beneath in terms of dust and hair, I am quite happy to keep our bedroom rug-free!
