Serene Coastal Chic Living Room Decor

I've made a few changes over the last several weeks to our living room! I'm trying to emphasize a little more of the "chic" side of a coastal chic style. Soft blues and neutral tones create a serene atmosphere. Pops of green from freshly trimmed palms add a little vibrancy. I don't think I can live without my palm fronds. ;)
This new light blue rug is so much softer than I expected! I love the design that has sort of a Palm Beach chic style. I've been grabbing elements from it and incorporating them little by little into my decor.
My furniture is covered in the prettiest light beige slipcovers, which are the perfect neutral backdrop for being able to change accent colors at a whim.
Something shiny helps to add elegance to an otherwise very relaxed coastal style. I found this cute candle with a gold lid at my local HomeGoods on clearance. I always take a walk through their clearance aisles to see if I can score some discounted candles. ;)
For literally over a year now, I've known I wanted a floor lamp in this room. We just needed the extra lighting options for the evening. I found this lamp here and it was on sale the last I checked! You can see that it also has just the right amount of gold on the base to match my mirrored folding side table.

I loved this gold side table so much that I brought it home without even a hint of gold anywhere else in my house yet. Hey, you've got to start somewhere, right?

My garden stool has recently gone on sale! It comes in a wide variety of colors and is super durable! I'm so glad I bought it!
My jute rug is staying put in this space. It's worn very well, especially with having a large dog on it every day. I've listed and reviewed the best rugs to use if you have dogs and how to keep them looking new.
